It is time to get your Autumn Jelly ingredients ready! If you make some Autumn Jelly, don’t forget to share the results. This is a really simple activity that gives you lots of opportunities to explore many aspects of the EYFS. If you involve the children from the very beginning then not only will they be able to talk about and name the resources that they have collected, they will also be able to explore how the gelatine changes the water from a liquid to a solid. I couldn't resist taking a couple of pictures to share. This structure was HUGE you could literally have a barn dance in it! It is a big space to fill but SO MUCH potential… I was drawn to the trees at the back. It was such a lovely area, … Read More

At the weekend I got this email from Nicky at Hassell CP School. It is all about the impact that Talk Sofa has had in her setting  and some very pleasing feedback from a National Strategies visit. I have asked Nicky if I can blog her email and school name and she is more than happy for me to do so. Well done Nicky – Keep up the good work!   Hi Alistair I mailed you a while ago to ask about 'sofa talk', subsequently I have introduce some of your ideas into my … Read More
